Urgent Call to Distribute Surplus Rice to Food Banks

RAH is an international organization that is dedicated to play a major role in ending world hunger by 2030 by partnering with non-profits to hold meal packing events.. These meals then go to disaster areas or schools in developing countries.

Unfortunately due to the coronavirus pandemic,RAH has cancelled or postponed all of their meal packing events until the State of Emergency is lifted in the Greater Philadelphia Area. This has caused them to have The Philadelphia Area RAH folks have asked me to contact Rotary Clubs and District Leaders to find funds to purchase pallets of rice for local food banks or hospitals that are still providing meals to patients and employees.

One pallet has forty-two 50# bags of rice. Each pallet is $840 ($880.00 when delivered to a location of our choice). The Philadelphia RAH warehouse has 35,000 pounds of rice.

We are looking for:

  1. 1- Organizations like Rotary Clubs, Lions…etc… to donate $880.00 for a pallet to be delivered to a food bank or soup kitchen. Those full pallet donation can be made at:

  2. 2- Those who want to make smaller donations can contact DonateDelaware.org and leave their contact information and we will get back to them.
  3. 3- We are looking for food banks, hospitals and soup kitchens that have the capacity to accept a full pallet of rice.

Sincerely in Rotary Service,
