About Us

Background

Delaware’s essential workers and first responders struggle to procure sufficient COVID-19 safety equipment. When COVID-19 became a public health threat, several organizations contacted Donate Delaware leadership members, stating their dire need for PPE safety equipment, such as masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and gowns. To keep staff and clients safe, organizations needed a supply of protective equipment they could not, in many cases, easily procure. Donate Delaware was formed to procure and distribute safety equipment so nonprofits and schools across the state had the necessary supplies.

What We Do

  • Serves as a 501(C)(3) nonprofit resource center that directly provides essential goods and services to communities in need across Delaware.
  •  Serves as a communications hub working with other nonprofits, businesses, and State agencies to help coordinate and facilitate services to individuals and communities across the State of Delaware as needs arise.
  •  Provide “rapid response” to Delawareans during times of crisis (i.e., floods, fires, major storms, etc.)
  •  Works as a force multiplier with over 80 corporate, business, government, foundation, and nonprofit partners, including schools and their districts.

Leadership Team

President: Dave Tiberi

Mr. Tiberi served for 9 years on the St. Francis Hospital Foundation Board, Sunday Breakfast Mission Homeless Shelter Board, Goodwill Industries Annual Luncheon, and Connections CSP, addressing the complex problems of mental health and substance abuse. He also founded the Delaware Decision Makers and co-founded and served on the board as a volunteer at The Dave Tiberi Youth Center for 22 years. Additionally, Dave has served as a self-defense instructor at the Delaware State Police Academy for 29 years.

Dave is President of Emergency Response Protocol, a security company serving a multi-state area. He presently serves on the Board of the Delaware Boys and Girls Clubs, Delaware Police Chiefs Foundation, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Delaware Regional Dream Center.

These leadership positions uniquely positioned Dave to co-found Donate Delaware. Currently, he presides as the President of Donate Delaware and works to address urgent needs in the Delaware community when they arise.

Chief Executive Officer: Dr. Robert J. Andrzejewski

Throughout Dr. Andrzejewski’s education career, he has worked closely with many nonprofit organizations that serve children, families, and the community at large. When the pandemic hit in March of 2020, Dave Tiberi approached Dr. Andrzejewski about working with him in support of their efforts to secure donated PPE supplies for first responders, hospitals, nonprofits, and schools.

Having worked with underserved communities and schools for over 40 years, Dr. Andrzejewski was excited to join the Donate Delaware team and add his unique perspective and experience. The experience has been very rewarding as Donate Delaware has become a hub for procuring and distributing donated and purchased PPE supplies to nonprofits and schools throughout the state.
